ACTION SMILES INTERNATIONAL is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering disadvantaged and marginalized members of Kenyan communities. While we champion the rights and empowerment of women and girls as a cornerstone of community development, our support extends to all vulnerable individuals, including widowers, the elderly, and children, ensuring no one is left behind. We strive to enhance the dignity and well-being of all, fostering environments where every person can thrive. Our operations are rooted in a commitment to equity, justice, and human rights for all.

Gender Equality & Advocacy
Promoting gender equality is at the heart of our endeavors because we believe it strengthens the entire community fabric. We strive to create an environment free from violence and discrimination through awareness campaigns and vital support services.
Economic Empowerment
We provide targeted skills training to men, women, and youth in areas such as tailoring, artisanal crafts, modern agricultural practices, and digital literacy followed up with income-generating initiatives. This enables individuals and families to achieve financial independence.
Training & Quality Education
We work to remove barriers for vulnerable school-going boys and girls by providing support such as scholarships, school supplies, uniforms, and for girls, sanitary pads. For adults training in literacy, numeracy, financial management, and other vocational skills.
Health Promotion
We facilitate access to essential healthcare services for all vulnerable community members. While we maintain a special focus on maternal and child health, our broader initiatives such as organizing medical camps and conducting health education workshops on nutrition, hygiene, and sanitation benefit everyone.
Hunger Alleviation
We address immediate food insecurity through the provision of emergency food relief to the most vulnerable families, including households headed by widows, widowers, or the elderly. Beyond immediate aid, we are committed to building long-term food security ensuring consistent & nutritious food supply.
Main Target
Our Target Group
Our work serves the most disadvantaged and marginalized members of our communities, with a focus on creating holistic support systems. Our target groups include:
- Widows and widowers facing social and economic exclusion.
- The elderly lacking adequate family or community support.
- Women, children, and men who are vulnerable to or survivors of violence or displacement.
- Vulnerable school-going children (both boys and girls) at risk of dropping out.
- Families and individuals affected by poverty, disease, and hunger.
